Regarding prices, it helps to consider whether an assignment is more like a task or more like a project. I've listed the prices below for a couple of tasks. No matter what assignment you have for me, rest assured that it will be reasonably-priced and your satisfaction will be guaranteed.

A task is an assignment that is limited in scope, usually filmed at a single location for a short period of time. The product will be a short video, a series of aerial photos, or both. Background music or live audio can be used. The recipient can choose unedited video and photos to save money.

An assignment that is long or complex in scope, possibly involving multiple locations and filmed over days or weeks. Completion of a project involves significant interaction between me and the customer. A project may result in a variety of finished products.

Examples of tasks include real estate photos and fly-throughs, video of a family reunion, overview videos of many kinds of events, individual video sessions for athletes, actors, or dancers, and especially making videos of your grandkids to share online or send to family members and friends!

Examples of projects might include filming the progress of a construction project; following interior and external renovations of a historical building; doing promotional videos for products, facilities, or political candidates; or preparing documentaries involving cultural heritage, regional tourism, or economic development efforts. If you are interested in an extended project, contact me. We will discuss the project details and can agree on a firm price.

  • I charge $100 (plus tax) for coming to your location and taking drone video and/or photos for an hour (minimum). You can either work with me while I'm there or tell me in advance what you want done. At the end I will transfer the video and photos to your phone or laptop, or make it available to you electronically.

  • I charge $250 (plus tax) for coming to your location and taking drone video or photos for an hour. Then I will edit the footage, combine it with either live audio or royalty-free music, and deliver it to you in whatever length and format you specify.

  • We can discuss the prices for jobs that last longer than an hour. Their hourly rate may be lower than the initial hourly prices,
